King's District Board of Trade articles of agreement, 1779 Aug. 23.

Articles of agreement , 23 Aug. 1779, forming a company to "promote trade in a more reasonable manner than it is now carried on" in King's District, N.Y. Thirty-four subscribers, including Daniel Herrick, Joseph Bramhall, Lothrop Allen, Nathaniel Porter, and Jacob Winegar, signed the agreement and pledged monies to pay the expenses of the board of trade.
